I was about to do one of these posts for Bela, but then I realized that it would probably make more sense if I did Dean first, since some of these things are pretty much all his fault, and with the start of season 4, there should be a verse breakdown thingie. (Plus everybody else is doing it. So there.)

Dean's Sam in pretty much every verse is likely_evil. Unless Dean finds himself in a one-on-one of some kind, where Sam is mostly an NPC, in which case his Sam will be imnot_likeyou. Dean's Bobby, likewise, is also always maninflannel.



[verse] canon is just what it says. Canon. To the letter (for the most part). Dean is very much a panfandom boy, and he will talk to anyone but this verse follows the canon episodes, and all will be fluffed out accordingly.

[verse] happiness is a warm gun is more commonly known as the Alec!verse. Basically, Sam died in "All Hell Breaks Loose" and Dean never sold his soul to bring his brother back. Dean hooked up in Seattle with Alec (smart_alec494), talked him into the business, and now they hit the road together. Somewhere along the way they picked up a baby!demon!Sam, and now they're trying to balance all of that together. It's fun, and cracky, and I like crack. So there.

[verse] wayward_au is based mostly in wayward_au. This takes place in the future aways where Dean's old, his brother's the Antichrist, and he's got two kids, Alec (smart_alec494) and Ben (mini_dean) to look after. This may also be known as the Everybody-hates-Dean!verse, as he really feels that that's the case.

And finally ...

[verse] justtostayalive is more crack (like I need it, but who cares). The most important thing to note about this end of canon is that all the big events are cut off right before "All Hell Breaks Loose." Sam never died, Dean never sold his soul. (This verse had enough angst as it was without adding that.) We still had the events of season 3 progress as normal, but there was no stuff with Dean's deal, the Devil's gate wasn't opened, so they don't know Ruby, and YED? Replaces Lilith pretty much as the big bad villain. We left some things out and added some things in, so if you have specific questions, ask me or Sam!mun, and we'll clarify.
